Anton Josef is an Austrian dialect singer songwriter from Burgenland. With personal lyrics, honest storytelling and melodic songs, he creates music that feels close, direct and authentic, brought to life on stage by a powerful live band.
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
The best concerts I’ve ever played were as an opener for two of Austria’s biggest acts, Seiler und Speer and Edmund.
One of them was at Burg Clam, and another one was in Carinthia at the Schlosswiese in Moosburg, in front of around 9,000 people. Standing on such a big stage and feeling the energy from the crowd was really special. It showed me what is possible with my music and gave me a lot of motivation to keep going.
To whom does your music speak?
My music speaks to people who connect with honest storytelling, real emotions and songs that come from lived experience. I write about longing, change, love, struggle and finding your own way. Even though my songs are rooted in Austrian dialect and my personal story, the feelings behind them are universal.
How do you envision your musical journey?
I envision my music journey as a path of honest growth. I want to reach bigger stages, build a strong live project and connect with more people through real stories, emotional songs and music that stays true to who I am.
