2019: living Cuba for half a year, studying percussion and latin piano, playing concerts in Havanna&Santa Clara
2020:Studying Jazz- and Contmporary piano under the renowned pianists Dejan Pecenko, Martin Stepanik and Christoph Cech at Anton Bruckner University
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
There where many concerts since then that I really enjoyed, but I´d have to say the first time I played my songs with my band infront of a live audience. The abstract ideas that had only existed in my head for so long finnally became something real that night, something that could be felt and seen from the listeners faces. I felt the immense gratitude I still feel today for having fellow musicians helping me translate my ideas to audiences.
To whom does your music speak?
We have played in a classical concert hall as well as in a dance club. On a festival as well as in a jazzclub. The songs are inspired by so many differnt parts an aspects of the worls and genres, that they can be felt by anyone. What I learned is that an honest story is more important and more connecting than the cultural background and setting.
How do you envision your musical journey?
We have recorded our first album, somnambule, this year, it will come out in about a month. It was the most energy- and money consuming adventure of my musiclife so far, but I am happy and proud to have done it. Now all I want to do is play the music to as many people as possible, to share what we have to say. But the truth is: If you´re not a big name, most eventlocations don´t reply to your requests and mails. This is why uploadsounds would be such a massive help for our next steps.
