Songtext

Without Text— Made with Acoustic Cello, Organ and Synths.

How do you plan to use the profit?

I plan to take some time off work to work on finishing the numerous almost-ready demos I have and put together an EP and debut album. Secondly, I plan to invest in analog synthesizers. I find the digital workflow to be very energy and headspace consuming. With DJing I prefer the connection to the turntables and my records. I feel the same way with analog systhesizers, especially after working with my synths from the 70s, 80s and 90s in my university synthesizer lab class.

Description

Cellist, organist, pianist; record collector and turntablist; producer. Currently exploring the range of sounds that these instruments and textures can bring together— always open to the new.

To whom does your music speak?

To me. To my friends. To the open ear.

How do you envision your musical journey?

A continuous pursuit of listening, experimenting and learning—personally and very importantly, with others. An assemblage of synthesizers and acoustic instruments; more time spent with the organ in new churches; Collaborating with the musicians I look up to —Terrence Parker, Sufjan Stevens, Don Carlos; Sharing in music with PEOPLE.
