Description
IllBeso is a sound designer and producer who, after years spent abroad, aims to bring home the sonic influences and experiences discovered along his journey.
His inspirations range from Daft Punk to Bon Iver, grounded in a rock background as a drummer. He believes that a strong dose of energy is essential for any electronic live performance.
His live set intertwines immersive soundscapes, semi-modular synths, and drum machines.
He has a soft spot for robotic voices and vocoders.
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
I think it was for the Suoni Universitari audition with my old band, Exercoma.
It was our first gig after just two weeks of rehearsals, right before the release of our debut EP.
Playing those songs live for the first time in front of an audience was a beautiful and unforgettable experience.
To whom does your music speak?
I don’t have any lyrics in my tracks, I only use the music language. Therefore it speaks to music listeners.
How do you envision your musical journey?
The idea behind my project is to perform exclusively live, without releasing any recorded material.
If you want to experience my music, you have to come to the show.
Therefore I see my musical journey on the stage.
