Marley Wildthing is a one-woman-show from Austria based in Prague and touring all over Europe. Marley’s live performance is full of surprises – she sings, loops bass, ukulele, beats and vocals, and radiates a joy and optimism on stage that is transmitted to any audience. Marley writes songs about the environment, (female) empowerment, joy and love. Marley Wildthing has played festivals like Donauinselfest 2022 in Vienna (AT) and Colours of Ostrava 2023 (CZ). Tell us about the best concert you ever played!

One of the best (and most surprising) was probably a street music festival in Germany, where I started as a performer on the street and was voted by both a professional jury and the audience to perform on the huge stage on the market square, where thousands of people were patiently waiting for me to play – including all the people I’ve met before on the street, who now proudly cheered for me. It was a rollercoaster of emotions.

To whom does your music speak?

To queer and open-minded people, dreamers, witchy&fairy girls and sensitive boys; to fans of Florence + the machine, Aurora, Chappell Roan; but also to people who love looping, bass and the technical aspects of music

How do you envision your musical journey?

I mostly want to play live, that’s what I enjoy. So I would love to find a booker who supports me so I don’t have to do this myself anymore. Otherwise I am happily slowly growing my fanbase and touring around 🙂
