“The Cherry” is a music duo founded in 2023. Emily’s voice is accompanied by Mattia’s melodies on the piano. Their repertoire includes covers that reflect a passion for English pop music, spanning the ’60s to the ’90s across a range of styles. For some time now, the duo has also been writing songs of their own: their first single, “Still Gambling”, is out on July 31.
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
The best concert we‘ve done was one of our projects this summer. We organized four concerts: The Cherry Live Music Concert, we played three times in South Tirol and one time at Garda Lake. We played our own songs and cover by artists such as Queen, Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson with four other musicians.
To whom does your music speak?
To people who still want to listen to real music and to people who like different genres.
How do you envision your musical journey?
We started just as a voice-and-piano duo, playing covers.An EP is coming soon. We want to keep writing our own songs, and we love playing them in front of people from everywhere.
