Schlanders - Silandro (Alto Adige / Südtirol) Metal
Spliff Machine is a 6-piece South Tyrolean metal band from Schlanders in Vinschgau , consisting of Stephan Mailänder (vocals), Tappeiner Andreas (vocals), Peter Fuchs (guitar), Werner Tappeiner (guitar), Lukas Mailänder (drums) and Simon Oester (bass) and was founded in 2021. In the beginning, Spliff Machine was made up of Stephan, Peter, Werner and Lukas to fight the boredom of the lockdowns with metal cover songs. The idea of a metal band came about through a chance meeting between Peter and Stephan. Drummer and guitarist were found quickly. Stephan, Lukas and Werner had already played together in various bands like "The Gleeman Members" and "Red Bannanas". Later, Simon joined Spliff Machine as bassist, who had also been active in the band "The Gleeman Members". It soon turned out that Spliff Machine was more than just a cover band. Together they wrote their first track "Escape". During the development phase of "Escape" it became apparent that a counterpart to Stephan's hardcore-inclined voice was needed, which was filled by Andreas. Despite the different musical backgrounds of the members of Spliff Machine, there is clearly a common vision: Metal! Spliff Machine is characterised by hard, fast guitar riffs with driving drums, melodic leads, numerous breaks and changes. The style of Spliff Machine was inspired by bands like Pantera, Sepultura, Tool, Metallica, Slipknot, Trivium, ect.
