The Mesh-aP biografia Nicola Tasin, Lorenzo Coser e Luca Rossi: The Mesh-aP, trio acustico pop-rock trentino che goliardicamente gioca con la musica mescolando generi e generazioni, ma soprattutto tre amici di vecchia data, per molto tempo compaesani e tutt’ora membri del medesimo coro polifonico in cui cantano ormai da più di una decina di anni. Nicola, voce solista, nonché suonatore di altri innumerevoli strumenti come la melodica, le maracas, il kazoo e l’armonica; Lorenzo, il grafico ma soprattutto cantante che si divide tra chitarra e ukulele; Luca, detto the one man band, in quanto oltre a suonare la chitarra e l’ukulele, contemporaneamente suona la grancassa, il cembalo e canta. Dopo circa un anno e mezzo dalla formazione il gruppo si è allargato inserendo altri due elementi per creare un risultato ancora più coinvolgente. Stefano, la nostra quarta voce ma soprattutto il nostro bassista per riempire un po’ il registro grave del gruppo; Marta, l’ultima ad aggiungersi ma non ultima nel suono, con il suo violino si muove nelle alte frequenze. L’idea di formare questo gruppo fu di Luca, che essendo il più informato di noi sulla scena musicale trentina, avendo suonato in svariati gruppi, propose di formare una band alternativa, mancante nel panorama provinciale, dando così il via, a inizio 2015, alle prime prove nella stube di Lorenzo. La mission era, ed è, quella di prendere i nostri brani preferiti, le hit del momento, gli evergreen e cercare di destrutturarli, rimescolarli e riproporli secondo il nostro gusto in chiave rigorosamente acustica, creando medley e mashup (il nostro nome deriva proprio da questo concetto), dimostrando che molto spesso i grandi successi sono musicalmente simili. Creata una scaletta varia e divertente i The Mesh-aP si sono esibiti in diversi bar, feste e sagre, ma è la caratteristica acustica il punto di forza che permette al gruppo di suonare un po’ dappertutto senza troppi problemi, esibendosi in vero stile street music per le vie del centro storico di Trento, cercando di dare un contributo, seppur piccolo, alla movida della nostra città. L’apice è stato raggiunto durante i mercatini di natale e le Feste Vigiliane, riscontrando un discreto successo, facendosi conoscere e ascoltare dalle persone che hanno trasmesso alla band forti emozioni lasciandosi trasportare dalla musica proposta. I The Mesh-aP sono in crescita e nel futuro l’idea è quella di continuare l’esperienza della street music, girare qualche video delle cover in repertorio e cominciare a scrivere qualche brano originale da aggiungere al nostro, ad oggi unico, inedito. The Mesh-aP biography Nicola Tasin, Lorenzo Coser e Luca Rossi, the founder members of The Mesh-aP, an acoustic pop-rock band from Trento, that play with the music mixing together musical genres and generations, but above all three old-time friends, for long-time neighbors and still members of the same polyphonic choir in which they have been singing for over ten years now. Nicola, the main vocal, he also plays a lot of other instruments such as melodica, maracas, kazoo and harmonica; Lorenzo, the second voice of the group, also player of guitar and ukulele Luca, a.k.a. the one-man band, because in addition to playing the guitar or the ukulele, simultaneously he plays the kick drum and the cymbal. After around two years since the start, the band expanded to make room for two new components to achieve an even more addictive result Stefano, ours fourth voice, but primarily the bassist, to give a little bit more meat to the low end of the sound; Marta, the last member to join in, but not the least in the sound, with her violin filling the high frequencies. All started in 2015, in the basement of Lorenzo’s house. The forming idea of this group came from Luca. Having he played in various groups and being the most informed of us about the musical scene in Trentino, he proposed to create an alternative that was missing in the musical offer here, so in 2015. The mission was, and still is, to take our favourite songs, the hits of the moment, the evergreens and try to deconstruct, mix and reproduce them according to our taste, in an acoustic key, creating medley and mashup (the name came from this as well: taking the English word but writing it the italian way), showing that the musical big successes often are very similar one another. Created an entertaining and varied setlist the band performed in different bars, party and festivals. Our acoustic character let us flexibility to play practically everywhere without big problems, and really shines when we play street music around the historic centre of the city. The best moments were reached playing buskers during the Christmas markets and the “Feste Vigiliane”, founding a discrete success. This gave us the chance to promote our music and hear the response from the people. The band is continuing growing and in the future the idea is to maintain the experience with the street music, shoot some videos of the cover and medley that we have and start writing some songs to add to our, to today’s unique, unpublished song.
