ENG | In a world ruled by streaming and algorithms, this workshop invites you to slow down and reconnect with the tactile, intentional act of searching for records. Together, we’ll explore how vinyl can shape your musical identity, open new influences, and connect you with the roots of DJ culture.

You’ll learn how to dig: how to browse, listen, and evaluate records in a real record store. We’ll talk about genres, labels, hidden gems, and how to build a collection that truly reflects your style.

It’s not just about the music — digging is also a way to meet people, swap ideas, and build connections across the local scene.

The workshop takes place inside PianoPiano Records in Vicolo Passiria 55 – Merano, with practical digging sessions, group discussions, and shared insights — all leading into a long vinyl-only aperitivo set by Mobororè to close the day.

ITA | In un’epoca dominata dallo streaming e dagli algoritmi, questo workshop è un invito a rallentare e riscoprire il piacere fisico e consapevole della ricerca musicale attraverso i vinili.
Scopriremo insieme come il digging possa influenzare e arricchire l’identità musicale di un DJ, aprendo nuove strade creative e rafforzando il legame con la cultura musicale analogica.

Durante il workshop impareremo a muoverci all’interno di un vero negozio di dischi: come cercare, ascoltare e valutare i vinili, riconoscere generi, etichette, artisti e gemme nascoste.
Ma il digging non è solo una pratica individuale — è anche uno strumento di connessione con altre persone, di scambio, di confronto e di crescita collettiva.

L’incontro si svolge all’interno di PianoPiano Records, in Vicolo Passiria 55 a Merano, con sessioni pratiche, momenti di confronto e condivisione.
A chiudere: un lungo aperitivo accompagnato dal DJ set 100% vinile del duo Mobororè.

GER | In einer Zeit, in der Streaming und Algorithmen den Musikalltag bestimmen, lädt dieser Workshop dazu ein, einen Gang herunterzuschalten – und die bewusste, physische Suche nach Musik auf Vinyl neu zu entdecken.
Wir zeigen, wie Plattensammeln nicht nur deine Musiksammlung, sondern auch deine künstlerische Identität als DJ oder Musikliebhaber:in prägen kann – und wie Vinyl dich näher an die Wurzeln der Clubkultur bringt.

Gemeinsam lernen wir, wie man sich im Plattenladen zurechtfindet: worauf man beim Stöbern achtet, wie man hört, bewertet und verborgene Schätze findet.
Doch Digging ist mehr als nur Musik – es ist auch Austausch, Begegnung und Community.

Der Workshop findet bei PianoPiano Records in der Vicolo Passiria 55 – Meran statt, mit praktischen Sessions, Gesprächen und gegenseitigem Lernen.
Zum Ausklang des Tages gibt’s ein langes Aperitivo und ein reines Vinyl-DJ-Set von Mobororè.
