From Euregio to Budapest: Alex the Judge and the Forbidden Fruits on August 8 flies to the Sziget Festival!
UploadSounds' notes return to the stages of the Budapest Sziget Festival, quite possibly the most important music event in Europe, scheduled for Aug. 7-12 at the beautiful location of Óbuda Island in the Hungarian capital, featuring a number of world-renowned headliners, such as Kylie Minogue, Liam Gallagher, Stormzy, Martin Garrix, Sam Smith, Skrillex, as well as Italians Liberato, Venerus, Victoria of Måneskin and many other artists from around the world.
Among them, in fact, Alex the Judge and the Forbidden Fruits, the winner band of the 2023 edition of the UploadSounds contest, also selected for this important international Export, will also find space on the Light Stage of the Festival. The band revolves around the figure of Alex Richter, an artist from Bressanone who, together with his Forbidden Fruits, has given birth to a project that moves in the sphere of experimental hip-hop/RnB, touching on jazz, funk, lo-fi, neo soul, pop and trap, will thus soon crown the dream of performing at what is far more than just a music festival: with its dozens of stages scattered across Óbuda Island, the festival, also known as Freedom Island, invites its attendees to connect and celebrate creativity, acceptance and love, promoting unforgettable moments in the name of peace and brotherhood.
The agreement with Sziget is just one of the many prestigious collaborations that UploadSounds has been pursuing for a long time, thanks to the network of partnerships that the music platform has forged over the years with organizers, festivals, kermesses and fairs even outside the Euregio territory, to allow the most deserving projects among those registered to participate in a series of important events and grow, personally and professionally.
