Introducing the Upload on Tour 2024! Eleven concerts throughout the Euregio with major international headliners
It is finally official the schedule for the Upload on Tour 2024, the concert series that, starting with the month of September, will allow the most interesting projects selected from the contest entries of UploadSounds, the Euregio's music platform, to perform on stage together with important headliners of national or international fame.
It will start on Saturday, September 7, from the Pippo Stage in Bolzano, when American rapper and producer Oddisee will perform. A pseudonym for Amir El Khalifa, Oddisee fuses elements of hip hop, jazz and funk in his music with content with a strong social reach and, with his Good Company, boasts several world tours and hundreds of millions of streams on platforms. He takes us to the Tyrol, however, on the second date of the Tour, more precisely to Hall, where Slicky Nerves, a Tyrolean band that, between grunge, punk and psychedelic rock, will play on Sept. 20 at the Stromboli, promising to make audiences throughout the Euregio dance.
Starting in Trentino instead is the following weekend, which on Friday, September 27, at the Bookique in Trento will see Alex the Judge and the Forbidden Fruits perform. The band, winner of the 2023 edition of the UploadSounds contest, revolves around the figure of Alex Richter, an artist from Bressanone, Italy, who, with his Forbidden fruits, has created a project that moves in the sphere of experimental hip-hop/RnB, touching on jazz, funk, lo-fi, neo soul, pop and trap. The next day, Saturday, Sept. 28, it's back to South Tyrol, because at Kuba in Caldaro comes the music of Bassolino, an artistic project of Neapolitan pianist, composer and producer Dario Bassolino, active in the national and international nu-jazz scene, but above all a leading exponent of the new and lively Neapolitan music scene.
It's back to South Tyrol the following week, when on Friday, Oct. 4, Insanity Alert will perform on the Basis stage in Silandro. The band from Innsbruck has been taking its fresh mix of '80s trash, hardcore punk, metal and a good dose of pop culture around the world for nearly 15 years, which has enabled the group to play over 350 concerts and festivals. The sounds definitely change on Saturday, Nov. 9, at Kulturweberei in Telfs, as the evening's headliners will be Rebel Musig Crew, with their mix of reggae, hip hop, ska and funk.
Than again to Trentino, and specifically to Molin de Portegnach in Faver, in Val di Cembra, on Saturday, Nov. 16: the protagonists of the evening will be Stormo, a band born in Feltre in 2005, dedicated to an uncompromising blend of metal, mathcore and screamo, strictly in Italian. The third and final Tyrolean date, then, is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 20, at P.M.K in Innsbruck, with a concert by NENDA & Gilewicz. Nenda, who has already enjoyed great success with her hit "Mixed Feelings," brings her powerful voice, while Gilewicz contributes indie and alternative elements for a unique musical experience capable of bringing a breath of fresh air to the music scene.
To conclude the month of November, we then return to Trentino, with two more dates to mark on the calendar: the first is Saturday, Nov. 23, when Savana Funk, an interesting project born in the spring of 2015 in Bologna, will perform at Cantiere 26 in Arco, combining funk, rock, blues and African music with incendiary jams, irresistible grooves and an enviable stage presence. The following weekend, Friday, Nov. 29, at the Smart Lab in Rovereto, it will then be the turn of Any Other, the main project of Adele Altro, a Milan-based multi-instrumentalist and producer who has already been active for several years in the Italian and international music scene, and whose work has helped (re) bringing indie-rock into the spotlight, taking the stages of the most important international festivals.
Last but not least, the final event of the Upload on Tour 2024 takes us once again to South Tyrol, to Bolzano, where it all began. This time, however, it is the Sudwerk that will host, on Saturday, December 7, the live music of Bella And the Bizarre, who straight from Berlin will bring to Euregio their wild fusion of garage punk, 1960s rock n' roll and a pinch of soul, to leave the UploadSounds audience speechless, mesmerized by their unique sound.
