Musikplatz Sessions: Open Call for Artists from Tyrol, South Tyrol & Trentino
Calling all artists from Tirol, South Tirol and Trentino!
Play at Musikplatz Sessions by Upload Sounds, a multi-day music event transforming Innsbruck’s Marktplatz into a vibrant open music space.
Uploadsounds is excited to announce a new collaboration with Coll:b am Hof! Together, we’re transforming Innsbruck’s Market Square into a vibrant open-air stage for the Musikplatz Sessions — a multi-day live music experience featuring concerts, pop-up shows, and an interactive atmosphere right in the heart of the city. We’re inviting artists from Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino to be part of this special program and share their music with the people of Innsbruck.
The Format
Over three days – from May 13 to 15 – a total of six acts will perform, two per day, each in the late afternoon. The Musikplatz Sessions offer a collaborative environment with live concerts, cultural encounters, and musical surprises. The audience will discover new acts, while artists have the opportunity to connect, network, and expand their reach.
Fees and Opportunities
Selected acts will play a roughly 30-minute live set on the Market Square stage. Solo artists will receive a fee of €200, bands €250, and travel costs will be covered. Additionally, new opportunities may arise from participation – from extra gig invitations to festival slots or support shows.
How to Apply
Applications are open to artists up to 35 years of age from Tyrol, South Tyrol, and Trentino. The process is simple:
– Record a short intro video introducing yourself and explaining why you want to perform at the Musikplatz Sessions (please in English).
– Post the video on your Instagram and tag @uploadsounds.
– Create an artist profile on uploadsounds.eu.
The application deadline is April 21, and the event days are May 13–15.
The Collaboration
The Musikplatz Sessions are organized in cooperation with UploadSounds, Coll:b am Hof, mica – music austria, and Musikbüro Tirol, supported by Innsbruck Tourismus. The goal is to give young talents from the Euregio a stage in the heart of the city, encourage new connections, and transform Innsbruck’s Market Square into a lively music space for three unforgettable days.
