Songtext
Drei Sonnen sah ich am Himmel stehn’
hab’ lang und fest sie angesehn;
Und sie auch standen da so stier
also könnten sie nicht weg von mir.
Nein meine Sonnen seid ihr nicht.
Schaut andern doch ins Angesicht !
Ja neulich hatt’ ich auch wohl drei:
nun sind hinab die besten zwei.
Ging nur die dritt’ erst hinterdrein!
Im Dunkel wird mir wohler sein.
How do you plan to use the profit?
I plan to reinvest the profit into future artistic projects, supporting research, composition, and collaboration across disciplines. It will allow me to continue experimenting with voice and electronic media and present my work in new contexts and festivals.
Description
I’m Christine Pichler, a singer, performer and music and dance educator from Tyrol. My work blends voice, electronics and movement – sometimes fragile, sometimes powerful. I’m drawn to the tension between delicate melody and experimental soundscapes, between intimacy and performance.
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
One of my most memorable performances was Totentanz 1725 at the chapel in Breitenwang. The historic space, with its echo, became part of the music: I started quietly, almost fragile, with voice and loop station, before the sounds layered and grew until the whole room was vibrating. In the end, it felt like the audience and the performance were breathing as one.
To whom does your music speak?
My music speaks to people who are open to contrasts – to softness as well as rawness, to beauty and to rupture. It’s for listeners who enjoy discovering stories and atmospheres within sound, beyond categories, moving between experiment and intimacy.
How do you envision your musical journey?
I see my musical path as an ongoing exploration between composition and performance. The voice is always my starting point – sometimes pure, sometimes electronically transformed. I want to keep creating spaces where sound, body and audience connect, and where new forms of resonance emerge: delicate, powerful, and radically contemporary.
