NINA DUSCHEK – MY RULES
Verse 1: I’ve never been that type of girl that follows the rules
I’ve always liked to make my own
if you think that you can tame me and put in a box
be sure my world works with other laws
Prechorus:
‘Cause I’m addicted to freedom – om
I’m the queen of my kingdom – om
Wasn’t made for restriction – ons
But to play a game I’ll never lose
They used to tell me about their truth
Chorus:
 But I got my rules
 I got my rules
 I got my rules
 I got my rules
To live my frickin’ life in truth
Verse 2:
I swear I’m done with my life if I follow the heard
My nature’s made to swim upstream
 Questioning unspoken rules of society
Guess, it makes sense now I never fit in
Prechorus: ‘Cause I’m addicted to freedom – om
I’m the queen of my kingdom – om
Wasn’t made for restriction – ons
But to play a game I’ll never lose (And it’s my game, honey)
‘Cause they used to make me so confused
[Chorus]
Bridge: Too long I’ve been pushed around by your rules
Made me feel like I’m the worst criminal
changed my code, ‘til I forgot how to love
Your playboard was my heart’s graveyard for sure
 But today, honey haha…
 [Chorus]
How do you plan to use the profit?

Description
Nina Duschek is a fearless South Tyrolean singer-songwriter whose raw, multi-layered voice radiates power and passion. After her genre-blending debut “Bandana Revolution” (2024), she returns bolder than ever with her upcoming self-titled EP (2025). Led by the dark-pop, punk-infused single “My Rules”, the record dives into identity, pain, and self-empowerment—an unapologetic statement born from surviving a toxic relationship.
Tell us about the best concert you ever played!
Really hard to say. But the first that comes to mind is the one I played with my band at the first vegan Festival “Meran Vegan” in 2022. It felt like a dream to see the festival come to life and to perform there, after all the hard work our team put into making it happen.
To whom does your music speak?
My music speaks to truth-seeking women ready to break free from shame and limitations, reclaim their fierceness, own their sensuality, and step boldly into a life of self-empowerment and authenticity.
How do you envision your musical journey?
I’d love to create a community of like minded souls, inspire women and people all over the world to follow their truth and play on big stages, touring a lot, playing live and embracing the never ending creative journey of making music. Recently I started writing in Italian, so my focus will be on Italy for now.
