Lyricollective – Lyrics refining

Musicians and songwriters who decide to participate will be invited to bring three lyrics:

• a lyric from a song they already have that expresses their research
• a lyric from a song by another author/musician that represents an inspiration
• a lyric from a song of their own still in the drawer to be worked on together

Sitting on the sofas, people will be able to come on stage to read and interpret their texts, together with the participants then engage in a dialogue to identify the real potential in the text that has not yet become a finished song.

Are there perhaps too many words? Or perhaps too few?

IT | I musicisti e autori che decideranno di partecipare saranno invitati a portare tre testi:

• un testo di una loro canzone già esistente che esprima la loro ricerca;
• un testo di una canzone di un altro autore/musicista che rappresenta un’ispirazione;
• un testo di una canzone propria ancora nel cassetto, da elaborare confrontandosi insieme.

Seduti sui divani, le persone potranno salire sul palco per leggere e interpretare i propri testi.
Insieme agli altri partecipanti, si avvierà poi un dialogo per individuare il vero potenziale nascosto nel testo che non è ancora diventato una canzone compiuta.
Ci sono forse troppe parole? O magari troppo poche?

DE | Musiker:innen und Songwriter:innen, die teilnehmen möchten, sind eingeladen, drei Songtexte mitzubringen:

• einen Text eines eigenen, bereits bestehenden Liedes, der ihre persönliche künstlerische Suche ausdrückt,
• einen Text eines Songs von einem anderen Künstler oder einer anderen Band, der sie inspiriert hat,
• einen eigenen Songtext, der noch „in der Schublade“ liegt und gemeinsam weiterentwickelt werden soll.

Gemütlich auf Sofas sitzend, können die Teilnehmenden auf die Bühne kommen, um ihre Texte zu lesen und zu interpretieren.
Gemeinsam mit den anderen wird dann ein offener Dialog geführt, um das wahre Potenzial des Textes zu entdecken – das, was vielleicht noch nicht zu einem fertigen Lied geworden ist.
Gibt es vielleicht zu viele Worte? Oder zu wenige?
