UploadSounds is calling young artists! There is time to register for the Upload School until May 3

Deadlines to register for the 2024 edition of Upload School Music Production, the training course organized in collaboration with the Sorgente '90 association dedicated to the area's most talented under-23 musicians who want to take their first steps in this world, expire May 3.

An intensive plenary, rehearsal room and studio art training session, which will come to life from Friday, May 17 to Sunday, May 19 at Molin de Portegnach, in Faver (TN), during which the young participants will be able to get involved in high-level music production, supervised by three exceptional tutors.

Following the young talents throughout their journey, giving them advice and suggestions to arrive, in a peer-to-peer confrontation and in a context of continuous artistic and musical exchange, at the actual production of a song, will in fact be three experienced producers again this year, professionals from the national music world. They are Cesare Petulicchio, founder, with Adriano Viterbini, of Bud Spencer Blues Explosion, but also producer and drummer of many artists of the new Italian independent scene, including Motta and Rancore; Federico Dragogna, producer, composer and musician, author and guitarist of the band Ministri, with 7 albums and more than 600 concerts to his credit in Italy and Europe, has been artistic producer for Le Luci Della Centrale Elettrica, Paola Turci, Lucio Corsi, Iori's eyes and many others. May 5, 2023 saw the release of "Dove nascere," his debut album as a solo artist; finally Gianluca Taraborelli, aka Johnny Mox, a multi-instrumentalist from Trentino with 4 albums behind him, the last of which "Anni Venti," released at the end of 2023, two European tours, an American tour and hundreds of concerts all over the peninsula, as well as founder of the meta-band "Stregoni" and author of successful podcasts such as "Sete," "Bagliore "and "Voit"; he is among the organizers of the Festival on sustainability "Sete."

To apply, it is enough to be a resident or domiciled in the Autonomous Provinces of Trento and Bolzano or in the Land Tirol and to be between 14 and 23 years old (the average age of the band must be at most 23 years old), then, simply send by no later than midnight on May 3, 2024 to the email address school@uploadsounds.eu an original song in .mp3 format in Italian, English or German; the lyrics of the song submitted; and a brief description and photograph of the musical project. The 3 most interesting musical projects among those registered, selected by a quality jury formed by the producers of Upload School themselves, will thus be able to participate in the 3-day musical residency at the Molin de Portegnach in Faver, at the end of which, starting from the song produced during the activities of Upload School Music Production, will begin a distance music production process with the three mentors who will accompany the young artists in the creation of a finished song that can be competitive in the broader UploadSounds contest dedicated to artists under 35 in the Euregio, as well as distributable on major music platforms.
