Bozen - Bolzano (Alto Adige / Südtirol) rock


Gli Atop the Hill nascono nel marzo 2013 in una sala prove nel quartiere di Oltrisarco a Bolzano. La band è attualmente formata da Daniel Ruocco (voce), Luca Pallaver (chitarra), Michele Larcher (chitarra), Marco Martini (basso) e Filippo Zanforlin (batteria). Il primo bassista Matteo Neri ha lasciato la band a febbraio 2016. Sin da subito la band si concentra a comporre brani inediti rifacendosi all'alternative rock degli anni '00 diventato popolare grazie a band come Arctic Monkeys, Cage the Elephant, Franz Ferdinand. Il sound eclettico e l'energica presenza live sul palco sono segni caratteristici della band, che conta ad oggi 17 brani originali e un discreto repertorio di cover. Nel giugno del 2015 è stata registrata una prima live demo dal titolo "What Happens Next", ascoltabile sul profilo Soundcloud della band. Gli Atop the Hill contano 47 presenze live in concerto nel territorio del Trentino/Alto Adige e hanno partecipato a festival degni di nota come l'Art May Sound (BZ) Swamp Festival (TN), Over the Hill (TN), Rock Im Ring (BZ), Boom Festival (BZ) e Rock in Dusty Valley (BZ). Altri palchi che hanno visto la band in concerto sono quelli del Sudwerk Club, Ost West Club, Arsenale, Gasoline Road Bar, Pippo Stage e UFO. A novembre 2016 sono iniziate le registrazioni del primo EP ufficiale della band dal titolo "Not a Care in the World", che conterrà 4 brani originali. L'uscita dell'EP è prevista per maggio 2017.
