Bozen - Bolzano (Alto Adige / Südtirol) pop


Atop the Hill è un gruppo musicale indie-pop rock bolzanino in attività dal 2014. L’attuale formazione vede Daniel Ruocco alla voce, Luca Pallaver alla chitarra, Antonio Del Giudice alle tastiere, Maddalena Ansaloni al basso e Mattia Mochen alla batteria. Il gruppo ha rilasciato il primo EP dal titolo “Not a Care in the World” nel maggio 2017, anticipato dal singolo “Shake the Pride”. Dopo aver vinto la seconda edizione della Rocknet Academy (Alto Adige) il gruppo ha avuto l’opportunità di registrare un nuovo brano dal titolo “The Way She Moves”, uscito sugli store digitali come singolo a novembre 2017. La band si è fatta notare sui palchi altoatesini e trentini come Ost West Club, Sudwerk Club, Pippo Stage, Ufo Bruneck, Arsenale TN, Teatro Sanbàpolis, e partecipando a festival musicali tra cui Rock im Ring, Owl Festival, Rock in Dusty Valley, Etschside Festival, Fiesta Fuegos, Art May Sound. Degna di nota l’apertura del gruppo al concerto di Ghemon nella serata finale del concorso trentino Suoni Universitari. Inoltre nel 2019 la band ha vinto il concorso musicale Arezzo Wave per il Trentino Alto-adige e ha potuto suonare al SudWave Festival di Arezzo l’8/11/2019. Con la pubblicazione del singolo “Questa Moda”, registrato presso il Blessville Studio a Kaltenbrunn e prodotto da Chris Kaufmann, la band ha deciso di comporre musica con testi in italiano, arricchendo il sound di elementi pop. L’8 novembre 2019 è stato pubblicato sugli store digitali il nuovo singolo “Stare a metà”, presentato per la prima volta live sul palco del Sudwave festival di Arezzo. Le principali influenze musicali provengono dall’alternative rock degli anni ‘00, da artisti come Portugal the Man, Cage the Elephant e Arctic Monkeys.
