Il gruppo nato nel gennaio 2012 è inizialmente composto da 4 giovani musicisti, Samuele (voce/flauto/armonica), Alessandro (batteria), Andrea (basso/contrabbasso) e Tiago (chitarra), che in realtà collaboravano già da molto tempo insieme, seppur in diverse formazioni. In breve al quartetto si aggiunge Enrico (tastiere). Un vero e proprio caleidoscopio che passa da tre forti poli d'attrazione: il blues, il rock and roll ed il funk. Difficilmente collocabile il suono del gruppo ha un dato fondamentale imprescindibile: la libertà, il rischio dell'improvvisazione. Si chiamano "Curly Frog & The Blues Bringers" che deriva dalla copertina del vinile del '69 di Muddy Waters "After Rain", dove Mud tiene in mano una rana. Sarà proprio quella rana che si reincarnerà in Sam, dando vita ai Blues Bringers. La musica che scaturisce da questa line up è il risultato di una lunga collaborazione che nel corso degli anni, che ha amalgamato i cinque musicisti attraverso esperienze e contaminazioni musicali tra le più disparate. Gran parte di quello che suonano è però frutto della loro improvvisazione che è il fattore che li contraddistingue. Il 27 ottobre 2012 si aggiudicano il 1° premio al CoverOltreFestival suonando 3 brani del leggendario Ray Charles Robinson.
