Demetra Nati in Trentino nel gennaio 2010 i DEMETRA sono un'onesta compagine di cinque elementi, devota al vecchio ed intramontabile sound degli anni '‘70, ma non solo. La band nasce da un'’idea di Simone Iachemet (voce) e Nicola Gentilini (organo Hammond e tastiere), con l'intenzione di tramutare in musica le proprie emozioni e parole. Vengono poi coinvolti nel progetto il fratello di Nicola, Andrea Gentilini (batteria) e Maurizio Brugnara (basso), i quali apportano un'influenza funky alla band. Mattia Nardin (chitarra), completa la formazione con quel tocco blues che non guasta mai. Nonostante la giovane età della formazione, i Demetra riescono ad aggiudicarsi il primo postodel concorso musicale Regionale ROCK TIME edizione 2011.La Band decide così di spingersi verso il concorso internazionale della musica emergente, il TOUR MUSIC FEST’. Dopo varie selezioni, a Brescia e successivamente a Roma, i Demetra vengono riconvocati come semifinalisti del concorso dopo essere riusciti a far spiccare il loro sound fra la oltre 2mila band selezionate. Il sound deriva dalla fusione di diversi stili (rock-funky-fusion) ed esperienze musicali che ogni elemento ha maturato con altre band.
